100g dates (stoneless) chopped
40g water
175g butter
100g chocolate, broken in small pieces
3 eggs
175g brown sugar
150g white spelt flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
30g cocoa powder
1tsp chocolate essence (opt)
20g chocolate, chopped
Heat dates and water together until soft. Then add chocolate and butter and heat v gently until melted. Blend together. Allow to cool a little if too warm.
• Mix all ingredients together
• Bake in rectangular tin GM4 about 50 mins.
