For the Sponge

6oz Butter

6oz Sugar

6oz Shipton Mill Self Rasing Flour

2 Eggs

3 tbsp Milk

1.5 tsb Baking Powder

For the Apples:

6 Apples

3oz Sugar

Peel and core the apples, then slice them legnth ways.

Add the apples, sugar and 3 tbsp of water to a small pan and leave on a low heat for 15 minuites, or until the apples are soft.

While the apples are cooking, mix the butter, sugar, flour, eggs and baking powder together. Then add the milk

When the apples are cooked place them onto a buttered dish, then place the cake batter on in blobs.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 45 mins or until a squer comes out clean.
