Easy Scones

2 cups SR flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

30g butter

3/4 cup milk and water

Sift flour, stir in sugar and salt. Rub in butter until the mixture looks like fine breadcrumbs. When I'm doubling or trebling I use my mixer.

Pour nearly all the liquid in and mix with a knife to form a soft dough. The mixture will come clean off the sides of the bowl when you have enough liquid.

Place on lightly floured surface and knead lightly for a minute or two until the dough looks smooth. Pat dough to 1.5 cm thickness and cut into rounds.

Place on greased tray. Glaze with millk (I used egg and milk for these ones).

Bake in hot oven (210C) for 10-12 minutes.
