Chilli, Chive and Cumin Bread


450g Wholemeal flour

450g White flour

12g Dried yeast

10g salt

2 Tbsp Chilli flakes

2 Tbsp Dreied Chives

2 Tbsp Ground Cumin

30 ml Olive Oil

553 ml tepid water


Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the olive oil and tepid water.

Once mixed, nead into a smooth dough. this can be done either in a mixer or by hand. Cover the dough mix and leave in a warm place for about 1 hour. "Knock back" the dough and nead gently until smooth. Devide into either 2 to make 2lb loaves, 4 to make 1lb loaves or smaller amounts to make bread rolls etc. Rest the dough for about for about 20 mins in a warm place, before baking in a hot oven (around 220 C) for 25 mins. Put to cool on a wire rack......Enjoy!!
