The promotion of organic food is set deep within the ethos that drives Shipton Mill. We source grain as locally as possible from certified organic producers.
Using organic flour not only helps to contribute to biodiversity by maintaining varieties of wheat/cereals but also to the general wildlife populations where organic production methods encourage a greater variety and number of species.
In the UK organic producers are certified by the Soil Association, a body recognised world-wide as adhering to the strictest standards. We select only the best parcels of grain to give the fullest flavour and outstanding baking results.
Due to a temporary suspension of some services by couriers, we are currently unable to offer delivery to the Republic of Ireland, or overseas. This is being looked into urgently, and as soon as services resume we’ll update you here. Deliveries to Northern Ireland can begin again.

Ideally flour should be kept in a sealed container in a cool dry place with stable temperature. Typically white flour has a shelf life from milling of 12 months. Wholemeal flour will be good for 6 months. More ...
