Very Easy Spelt Bread Recipe


650g White Spelt Flour

350g Wholemeal Spelt Flour

1 tsp Salt

2 tsp Yeast

2 tsp Sugar

600ml Warm Water

2 tbsp Vegetable Oil


Mix the flour, salt, yeast and sugar in a large bowl.

Mix in the water and then add the oil.

Knead well until smooth.

Cover the bowl with a cloth and leave in a warm place to double in size.

Knead dough for two minutes.

Shape the dough into two loaves and put it in oiled bread tins or on baking sheets.

Cover with a cloth and leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.

Bake for 35 minutes at 170°C (Fan)
