I found this many years ago on the internet (hence the cup measurements) - i don't know whow Tammy is, or whether it's a person or a restaurant! (I can't now find the original source) We've evoled the recipe in this waffle-loving house over the years, so here it is in it's current form. They are much nicer then the recipe that came with the waffle maker!
This makes about 8 waffles - enough for 2 each. It's easy to halve the quantities for smaller waffle-gatherings.
1 1/2 cups plain white flour
1/2 cup brown flour
2 tbs light brown sugar
1 tbs baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup yogurt
1/2 cup oil (we tend to use sunflower oil)
1 tsp vanilla
Combine dry and wet ingredients in seperate bowls, then combine both until just mixed. Our waffle maker cooks them in 3 1/2 minutes - you should experiment with yours. Enjoy!
