Swedish style vegan meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup boiled lentils (1/2 dry)
  • 1 1/2 cup boiled rice (brown/red best) or 3/4 dry
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened dairy-free milk
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • salt and pepper
  • frying oil

To serve with:

  • cranberry sauce
  • potato puree

Method:

  1. Dice onion finely
  2. All the ingredients hand-blended together into a thick paste
  3. Taste and add more salt/pepper if required
  4. Wash hands, cover them with some oil and form small balls using the paste
  5. Heat the frying oil to high temperature on a frying pan
  6. Fry for 4-6 mins turning frequently
