Soft white rolls

250g strong white bread flour

20g caster sugar

20g softened butter

1 large egg , beaten

7g yeast

1/2 tsp salt

80ml warm milk

30ml water

Mix together the dry ingredients then add the rest of the ingredients and mix to form a sticky dough. Add more water if necessary. Knead in mixer for approx 8 mins until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Leave to prove until doubled in size. Turn out dough onto a floured surface. Knead until smooth and knock back. Divide into 6 - 12 pieces and roll into balls. Number of balls depends on size of finished rolls required. Place onto an oiled tray , cover with a plastic bag and prove for 30 mins approx. Bake for 10 mins at 190%c fan or 210%c conventional oven. Enjoy !!
