Ingredients
450g strong white flour
170g lukewarm water
15g fresh yeast
20g golden caster sugar
20g honey
30g butter (room temperature)
7.5g salt
1 egg (beaten)
Method
Dissolve the yeast, sugar and honey in the warm water .
Then add in salt, flour, butter and beaten egg. Then knead together until a soft dough ball forms.
Put dough ball into a butter lined bowl, cover and prove at room temp for 2 hours (or until dough has doubled in size).
Turn dough into lightly floured surface and knock out the air. Separate into 8 pieces and form dough balls of around 8 cm and place on a lined baking tray.
Cover and prove for another hour or until dough has about doubled in size.
When ready to bake, brush the tops with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 170 oC for around 20 mins until golden brown.
