This recipe sets out to adapt a classic walnut loaf to the breadmaker. We find Shipton's extra coarse wholemeal flour gives a real rustic feel; we also add walnut oil and honey for maximum flavour. Delicious with homemade soup, blue cheese or salmon pate.
Dried yeast 1 teaspoon
Shiptons Extra Coarse Wholemeal Flour 250 g
Shiptons Finets Bakers Strong White Flour No I 250g
Chopped Walnuts 100g
Honey 3 tablespoons
Walnut Oil 2 tablespoons
Water 350 mil
Salt 1 teaspoon
Bake on wholemeal programme , adding the nut from the nut dispenser if you have one.
