Ingredients
15g Active Yeast
400g Water
28g Sugar
12g Salt
30g Melted Butter (not hot)
600g Strong White Bread Flour
Method
Mix yeast and a little of the sugar in warm water and leave for 5 minutes
Add the rest of the ingredientMix for 5 minutes in KitchenAid or 10 minutes by hand
Put into an oiled bowl and cover and leave for 1 hour or until doubled in size
Remove from bowl and knead gently
Shape into a rectangle, spray with a little water, and fold into three like an envelope
Then from the narrow end shape like a sausage
Put into a buttered pan, seam side at the bottom
Prove for 1 hour or until double in size (till dough rises to the top of the pan)
PRE-HEAT OVEN TO HOT ½ hour before the bread is fully proven
Bake at 200˚C / 210˚F (Fan) for 30-35 minutes
Egg wash if you like (I do not)
Same recipe makes 12 dinner rolls, use tray lined with baking parchment and bake at 200˚F (Fan) for 20 mins
