- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup mixed fruit
- 1 cup soft brown sugar
- 2 cups Shiptons Self Raising Flour
- 1 cup milk
- 4 oz margarine
- 1 tsp mixed spices
- Line a 2lb non-stick baking tin with greaseproof paper.
- In a saucepan, melt margarine, sugar, fruit and milk.
- When melted ingredients have cooled, add the beaten egg, flour and mixed spices.
- Mix together and pour into a 2lb baking tin. Bake for 1 hour at 350 F/180 C.
