Easy Wheaten Bread

1 lb Shipton Mill Organic Irish Soda Coarse Brown Flour

6 oz porridge oats

1 pint buttermilk

2 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

Oven settings 190 centigrade/ 170 centigrade for fan ovens

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Make a well in the centre and add the buttermilk. Be very careful not to over mix, just fold the buttermilk in until the mixture is combined.

Put mixture into a lined or oiled baking tin of your choice.

Bake for approx. 45 minutes until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Once baked remove from the tin and leave to cool on a wire rack.

Enjoy hot or cold!
