10oz self raising flour
2tsp baking powder
good handful of whatever fruit you're adding - chopped, raw rhubarb in spring, berries in summer, chopped, raw apples or pears in autumn
Large loaf tin (2lb), or medium ring mould, or deep 8in cake tin
Cream together sugar and margarine, add eggs and beat together
Sift in flour and baking powder
Stir in fruit
Bake at 180C for between 35 and 45 mins, depending on what type of tin you're using.
