Quick, simple and oh so yummy! This recipe can easily be halved, but it's best to make the whole batch because they store amazingly well in the freezer.
First take:
2 and a half cups of white shipton mill spelt flour
1 and a third cups of golden caster sugar
6 tablespoons of cocoa powder
2 teaspoons of barcarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon of salt
and mix all together.
Then add...
10 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of vanilla bean extract
2 cups of water
2 teaspoons of distilled malt vinegar
Cook at 200 degrees (gas oven) for half an hour
top tip: cook in a round container and use grease proof paper to cover edges and bottom of container
