Three Malts and Sunflower with black treacle loaf

Adding malted wheat flakes and substituting black treacle for sugar gives extra crunch and depth of flavour to malted flour. Excellent with cheese. and cold meats

Bread maker recipe

Ingredients

480 grams Shipton Mill Three Malts and Sunflower flour

1 1/4 tsp dried yeast

20 grams Shipton Mill Malted Wheat Flakes

2 tbsp black treacle

25 grams butter

1 1/4 tsp salt

350 ml water

Method

Programme 5 in Panasonic SD2511 Breadmaker or equivalent 5 hour wholemeal/granary programme.
