Our favourite, easy to make, wholesome loaf with added seeds for extra taste. Makes great toast too!
Ingredients:
¾ teaspoon Allinson’s easy bake yeast
Flour mix consisting of:
300g Shipton Mill 3 Malts & sunflower flour
100g Shipton Mill wholemeal flour or extra course wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
1 teaspoon sugar
15g butter
1 teaspoon salt
300ml cold water
Method:
I use a Panasonic breadmaker SD 2511 - menu no. 5 set to a “Medium” size which is the smallest setting for a loaf on this machine.
• Make flour mix by stirring together the 4 ingredients shown above.
• Following the breadmaker’s recipe for a 100% wholemeal loaf, add the ingredients to the bread pan in the order of the ingredients listed.
• Set machine to menu 5 and size M. Loaf bakes in 5 hours.
Nb: The additional sunflower and pumpkin seeds are in the flour mix and not added via the seed dispenser. Nice and easy.
