Delicious for Sunday brunch with bacon and maple syrup
Makes about 8-10 waffles
250 gm White spelt flour
1 desert spoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 desert spoon caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cardamon pods, ground
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 carton buttermilk
Mix dry ingredient together
Then add eggs , buttermilk, oil
Beat mixture till smooth batter, adding more milk if required
It should be a dropping consistence .
Heat waffle iron and cook as per instructions.
I use my grandmothers cast iron waffle which I put on to heat just as I'm preparing the batter.
