This lovely flavoured seed bread is made using Organic Light Malthouse flour (301), White Strong flour along with Pumpkin, Linseed and Sunflower seeds. Always delicious and very moorish. A loaf never lasts long in our house. I have not found another bread, on the market, to match the flavour that the malthouse and mixed seeds add to this recipe.
Bread mixer recipe:- I use a Panasonic bread maker and set the program to - Whole Wheat then Bake Rapid which takes about 3hrs.
8oz Organic Light Malthouse Flour (301)
8oz Strong White Flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon vitamin c ( asorbic acid ) powder
1 rounded tablespoon each of Linseed, Pumpkin, and Sunflower seeds
I x 7gm pkt dried yeast
1 - Place water. oil, sugar and salt in pan.
2 - Add seeds and vitamin c powder
3 - Add flours and then the yeast
Press cook and then Voila! - 3hrs later a light textured aromatic bread that is good with home made jam, cheese etc and especially good for sandwiches or just with butter.
The extra crunch and flavour of the toasted seeds is heavenly
Difficult to cut if too warm so leave to cool down if you can stop the urge to try.
