Creamy pinhead porridge

This delicious creamy porridge made from organic pinhead oats, with berries, nuts and honey will provide heaps of healthy goodness and keep you going for hours. It is put to soak in the fridge overnight and cooks easily to perfection in just a few minutes in the morning.

1 measure of Shipton Mill Organic Pinhead Oats for Porridge.

(I use a USA 1/2 cup measuring scoop for one portion)

3 measures of organic full fat milk

Mixed nuts, blue berries, hone


Put the oats into a small saucepan, add the milk and put in the fridge overnight.  In the morning, stir the porridge mixture and set on a low heat to come to a very gentle simmer.  Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon (no need to stand over it) until it thickens to the required consistency. This should take no more than 10 minutes.  Leave to stand for a couple of minutes, then serve with nuts, berries and honey.
