Quick, simple and oh so yummy! This recipe can easily be halved, but it's best to make the whole batch because they store amazingly well in the freezer.
Recipe Of Cinnamon Squares:
Preparation Time 45-50 minutes
Serves 4-5 people
Butter 1 cup
Caster sugar 1 cup
Egg white 1
Egg yolk 1
Sifted flour 2 cups
Cinnamon powder 1-1/2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Chopped nuts 1-1/2 cups
Instruction For Cooking:
1. Beat the butter and sugar.
2. Add the egg yolk and flour, cinnamon and salt.
3. Press the batter into prepared pan.
4. Beat the egg white until foamy and spread sparingly over batter.
5. Press on the nuts.
6. Bake at 180 degrees centigrade for 30 minutes.
7. Cut into squares and serve.
Variation In Cinnamon Squares:
Cinnamon Squares can be made more variable by adding raisins in a batter along with other nuts to make it more delicious in taste.
Cinnamon Squares Served:
Cinnamon Squares can be served as it is with breakfast/evening tea. Cinnamon Squares can also be served as a dessert in small get togethers and parties arranged at home. Cinnamon Squares can also be served with the topping of fresh whipped cream or scoop of any ice cream of your choice.
