Caraway white loaf

Ingredients

500gm strong white bread flour

400ml warm water

1 and 1/2 level teaspoons dried fast action yeast

one tablespoon light olive oil

one tablespoon runny honey

level teaspoon, sea salt

one tablespoon of dried caraway seeds.

Method

Put the warm water , honey and yeast into the bread machine. Add the flour, oil, caraway seeds and salt. Set for a basic loaf and start. Let it go for about 15 minutes, then open the lid and toss in a handful of wholemeal flour, then reset the programme and start again. Leave to run the full cycle.

You get a lovely moist light bread with a golden crust and aromatic caraway seeds which are not only tasty, but help to aid digestion.

I try to use natural ingredients and stay away from refined sugar, table salt which has additives, and butter.

In place of unhealthy butter, I use oils. Today's loaf was olive oil, but I also use sesame oil, linseed oil, sunflower oil. This loaf is vegetarian/vegan
