A gorgeous, delicious and easy recipe - sure to impress!
300g country grain flour, or similar
200g strong white bread flour
6g dried yeast
50g chopped walnuts
125g medjool dates, chopped
Approximately 370ml water
Combine the flour, yeast, water and salt and knead for 10 minutes (or 6 minutes in a mixer with a dough hook).
Shape into a ball, and leave to rise in a covered bowl until doubled in size.
Knock back, add the dates and walnuts and knead to distribute evenly. Shape as required, score and leave to rise again for 45 minutes to an hour, covered.
Bake at 180c for approximately 35 minutes, or until when tapped it sounds hollow underneath.
