ORGANIC dried yeast - 500g
A large sachet of instant ORGANIC dried yeast. For a typical medium sized loaf you will need about 9g for 500g of flour. No need to rehydrate first. If using a bread maker, then add first before the flour to avoid contact with the water, salt or sugar before the mixing process starts.

Kinder To You:
Selected strains of yeast and lactic acid bacteria cultures are bread in a wholly organic nutrient solution made from organic grain, pure spring water and enzymes. All micro-organisms and raw materials used are guaranteed non-GMO.
Kinder to the Evironment:
The fermentation process uses no chemical additives, and sunflower oil is used as an antifoaming agent. BIOREAL organic yeast requires no rinsing. Since all plant equipment is steam-cleaned, disinfectants are unecessary. Even the waste water from full plant cleaning is free from contamination. The fermentation medium also forms the basis for further products such as sponge or yeast sourdough.

Shelf Life and Storage
Bioreal recommend: Once opened, dried yeast is best stored in the fridge between 2-8°C (most modern fridges will run between 1-5°C depending on your thermostat settings) where it will keep for about 5 months.
If stored at room temperature (approx. 20°C) it will lose its baking activity more quickly; to compensate you may need to change your baking parameters slightly either by increasing the dough temperature or prolonging the rising time of the dough.
