Wonderful for a stroll, there are two main streets, Long Street with its beautiful and iconic pillared market house at one end spurring off onto Church Street towards Tetbury's magnificent and impossibly steep spired church. Tetbury prides itself on its independent shops with an array of wonderful and unique gifts for friends and family. In a destination famed for its antiques, there are also some beautiful contemporary shops ensuring something for all tastes.
Warm yourself up in one of our splendid eateries including Hobbs House Bakery and take home some beautiful Real Bread and pastries made with Shipton Mill flour.

"The Royal Switch On!!
On Friday 7th December we are honoured to have Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall switching on the Christmas Lights in Tetbury. Head into Tetbury to watch the torchlight procession followed by carols at the Market Hall and the Royal "throwing of the switch"?" Find out more including all the timings.
Westonbirt Arboretum’s Enchanted Christmas
Head to Westonbirt Arboretum 10 minutes down the road from the Mill to see the spectacular Enchanted Christmas illuminated trail. A romantic
walk for couples or festive fun for all the family; you’ll find Christmas crafts and gifts and you can even pick up your own Christmas tree to take home with you.
End the evening with a delicious Christmas carvery at Westonbirt’s Maples restaurant (booking essential). The big switch on with Father Christmas and his real reindeer, takes place at 5pm on Friday 30 November and illuminated walks continue Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 30 Nov- 23 Dec 2012. "Christmas Miscellany"
Join the hugely enjoyable feast of entertainment known as the "Christmas Miscellany" on Saturday 8th December 2012. This event, held in St Mary's Church, is very aptly named. How else to describe an intimate "concert" of music and song, with readings, good humour and warmth that lifts the spirit and gets you ready for the wonder of Christmas? Tickets are available from Sue Hirst (504213 or sue@christmasintetbury.org.uk) and the Tetbury Tourist Information Centre, or you can buy tickets on the door on the night. The doors will be open by 6:30pm for a 7.00pm start. Find out more.
